Das Parfum

Das Parfum is a pop-up book adopted from the novel Perfume: the Story of a Murderer. The novel tells the story of a Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, a man with an extraordinary sense of smell, who becomes obsessed with creating the perfect scent by murdering young women to capture their essence.
In this pop-up book, I experimented ways to portray intangible scent and fragrance in visible and physical forms. And for the sake of exhibition, I also designed and handmade frames for each spread.
